International Term Assurance (ITA) and International Decreasing Term Assurance (IDTA)

Our simplest life insurance plan. We’ll pay out the insurance amount to your beneficiaries if you pass away during the term of your policy - it’s as simple as that.

The difference between the two? ITA offers cover at the same level for the entire term, while with IDTA you can select a rate at which the cover decreases every year till the end of the term. This makes IDTA a better fit to protect your loans or mortgage where the amount you owe decreases as you repay over the term.

What you get

In case of your death during the policy term, the insured amount goes to your chosen beneficiaries.

Protection for you when you need it the most
You can add critical illness and disability cover to your policy. This pays you the insured amount if you get a serious illness like cancer, heart attack, or stroke.

Control on the cover term
You can choose how long you need the cover for, from 5 years to 35 years.

Choose your beneficiary
The beneficiary of your policy is the person you select to receive the money if you pass away. This could be your spouse or partner, children, or a bank if you're paying off a mortgage. You can update your beneficiary at any time on Zurich Online.

We won't be able cover you if

You stop paying premiums
If your payments stop, you cover ends.

Your policy ends
You select the term of cover when you start your policy. Once the term ends, your cover stops.

Self-inflicted injuries and suicide
Self-harm causing injury or death is not covered in the first year of the policy.

We'll ask about your health and lifestyle to calculate your insurance premium. It's important to be honest and accurate as wrong or incomplete information can impact your claim payment.
